Allah Subhan Allah

The term tasbeeh is based on in the Arabic root of sīn-bāʾ-ḥāʾ (ح-ب-س). The meaning of the root word when written means to glorify. 'Tasbeeh' is an irregular derivation from subhan, which is the first word of the constitutive sentence of the first third of the canonical form (see below) of tasbeeh. The word literally means, as a verb, "to travel swiftly" and, as a noun, "duties" or "occupation". However, in the devotional context, tasbih refers to Subhan Allah, which is often used in the Qur'an with the preposition ʿan (عَنْ), meaning "God is devoid [of what they (polytheists) attribute to Him]" (Al-Tawba: 31, Al-Zumar: 67 et al.). Without this preposition, it means something like "Glory be to God."[citation needed]

Mashallah is used when a person praises the beauty of someone or something else by attributing that beauty to God as the creator. For example, you can say to your child: Masha Allah, you got an excellent grade. It means that your son is smart, but you attribute his intelligence and intelligence to God.

Others often get confused about when to say Subhan Allah and masha Allah and wonder if they can be used interchangeably. My subhanallah moments would have to be a sunset on a cloudy day, my dog giving me puppy eyes (pun totally intended), waking up on my own at the time I asked Allah to wake me up WITHOUT an alarm (this has happened WAAAAAYYY too many times to be coincidences), my parents enjoying the most mundane of activities, patients who we were expecting to pass away, survive and vice versa. There are SO many subhanallah moments, I could totally hijack this article hehe!

06. Sometimes I read the seerah of the Messenger of Allah and say Subhanallah, especially when I read about the sacrifices the greatest Messenger of Allah had made for us. Also I sometimes feel enormous pride (of course with humbleness) that Allah has made me among the the nation of his greatest messenger.

There is no legal objection to a Muslim saying: Glory be to Allah / subhana allah, when he sees or hears something that marvels at him, so often this expression (Glory be to Allah/subhana allah) is mentioned in the tongue of the Messenger of Allah. 041b061a72
